Energy Cost Guide exists to answer one question clearly: what does insurance actually cost where I live?Insurance pricing is opaque and varies enormously by state and city, so we turn public data and industry averages into plain, comparable estimates — for car, home, health, and life insurance.

What we do

For every U.S. state and hundreds of cities we publish an estimated average cost, a calculator to tailor it to your situation, and practical ways to pay less. We explain exactly how our numbers are built on our methodology page.
